Bell Bird
Rest Area
This tranquil spot is ideal
for a quiet BBQ or picnic. Provided by NSW State Forests,
the area is well maintained and welcomes thoughtful
visitors. Travel from Woodenbong. on the Mt Lindesay
Road towards Brisbane for approximately 9 kms. Turn
right into the rest area.
Acacia Plateau
The area has a picturesque
mixture of rich agricultural land and subtropical rainforest
on a lush volcanic red soil plateau. The area is known
for potato growing, and sslarge pine plantations. Travel
west from Woodenbong along the Mount Lindsay Highway
towards Tenterfield, and turn right to Acacia Plateau
just before Legume. Allow approximately 3 hours plus
breaks for the return trip.
