The
Upper Clarence is a diverse region. From our hot summers
to our brisk cold winters we have a climate to suit
every one.
Summer
is a hot and happy time. The dawn chorus punctuates
early mornings – as the birds all wake and ready
themselves for another feast in nature’s garden.
The hot middle part of the day is peacefully quiet interrupted
by the occasional crow. But the evenings – ahhh!
Long twilights of birds calling and wallabies grazing,
dingoes roaming and possums browsing. Add to this Daylight
Savings Time, and you have a great time for long leisurely
barbeques and relaxation.
Autumn, when the weather begins to
change is perhaps one of the most enjoyable times of
the year. With temperatures at a milder setting, now
is a good time for enjoying some of the more energetic
offerings of the Upper Clarence: bushwalking, rock climbing,
mountain bike riding etc.
Winter, a time of beautiful crisp
clear days, with temperatures averaging in the mid 20’s,
can be very pleasurable indeed. Enjoy the invigorating
lively sparkle of frost in the early morning, or snuggle
up in bed just a little longer until the sun spreads
new warmth. As for the nights, there is nothing nicer
than a warming fire to finish off either an energetic
busy day, or a relaxing lazy day.
Spring – that time of year
when Mother Nature wakes everybody up and gets things
moving again. New growth on the trees and plants, birds
nesting, wallabies breeding. Its good to be alive!
In the Clean and Green
Upper Clarence we have a time of year that’s right for you..
