Soybeans
as a summer legume crop with a pod containing high protein
seeds were first introduced into this region to improve
pasture management and provide additional income for
the beef cattle producers.
Some producers are now growing Organic Soy Beans to
meet the increasing demands of consumers for use in
manufacturing Soymilk, tofu, and other vegetarian foods.
The crop requires good weed and pest control, and is
subject to weather variations. Growers are not always
guaranteed of a successful year. |
