Bean Creek Falls Restoration Project

Utilising Green Corp, Conservation Volunteers and Work for the Dole teams, bush regeneration activities and walking track construction was undertaken at the spectacular 2ha Bean Creek Falls Reserve.

Old Bonalbo Public School Learnscape

The interactive outdoor learning area provides environmental resources and learning opportunities for all subject areas. The Learnscape features, which include planted local riparian, rainforest and eucalypt vegetation communities; a geology wall; frog pond; boulder strewn stream bed; mandala garden; herb spiral; shade house and compost bins and Aboriginal art murals

Landholders Embracing a Subcatchment Approach

Sub catchment Plans developed by the community on a property-by-property basis identifying management issues and costing necessary works have been developed in Beaury and Duck Creek subcatchments. Proposed works include provision of off stream stock watering, weed control, and more…

Waterford Wetland

A 20 ha rehabilitation project on part of a recently established State Forest Timber plantation. Working with Green Corps and Pikapene and Cherry Tree Environment Centre, passive recreation facilities were established to allow bird watching and picnicking. The wetland is refuge to a number of threatened species and migratory birds and is presently the focus of a fox control project supported by WWF.
